Brown Algae in Saltwater Tank?

I have a bunch of brown algae growing up the back of my aquarium. I am trying to get coralline alae to grow (which it is starting finally! yay! But I want theback to become encrusted in t, shouldI remove the brown algae to make room for the coraline or will the coraline jut grow over it?
