How do I deal with something annoying my boyfriend does?

I have been dating my boyfriend for a year. We have trouble sleeping in the same room because he snores and I have to sleep with silence, even ear plugs don't work. I know notice when we watch tv his berating is really loud. We tried throat-spray and it didn't work. He gets mad that I complain about it. But it really annoys me. What can I do to get over it?
