Whats do i do about a hostile work environment?

Im Irish living in England and i went through a similar situation in my job by a fellow employee...every day entertaining his chums with his anti Irish humour. Put up with it for two years. Then i got hate emails from him, so when i had proof i made a formal complaint. Then went off sick til it was dealt with. Was off for three months and they eventually sacked him. Basically get her to get some hard evidence. Make the complaint. Then go to the doctors and get a sick note and stay off until the work environment has been changed to suit her. She'll find that Will put everyone in order. Plus she can't be sacked as its an illness caused by unprofessional colleagues. Plus they have to pay her sick pay cos its not her fault. But she has to get evidence. P.s make sure she finds out her companies policies on such matters. Hope this helps.
