Why are Atheists so rude and hateful toward people who have religious beliefs?

I would NEVER berate someone just for a difference in beliefs. The bible teaches us to love all. So why do some, some not all, Atheist treat Christians so horrible? Particularly on here? Why do you care what others believe?
