Is our pool green because of algae?

We put our intex 15 foot by 4 foot round pool up for the second time and the water is all in it. The water is dark green and a little cloudy but right now we an see through to the bottom. The water is evenly mixed with green, I don't see any of the algae gunks yet. We've had water in it for only 5-6 days so could it be algae? I also explored the possibility of it being because of metals in our water reacting with chlorine, but I still think we should buy an algaecide first.... am I right? If so what algaecide is best
