White water kayaking?

Hi, i am new to kayaking and i am wondering what kayaks are best for white water. Right now, i would like to get a kayak that is great on non-rapid rivers and lakes, but want to eventually ride class 3 or 4 rapids. Could any kayak suffice, or do i have to get one specific to the water i want to ride on? I am looking at the Emotion Glide and Future Beach Trophy 126 kayaks right now.
